Luxury Lamborghini Yacht ‘Capsizes’ Off Miami Beach with Dozens of Influencers Aboard: ‘It Was Completely Upside Down in the Water’

A luxury yacht carrying dozens of influencers began taking on water and eventually “flipped over,” prompting the Coast Guard to evacuate the vessel near Miami Beach, Florida, on May 3.

The yacht was reportedly a Lamborghini-branded vessel.

“We were just on the boat and saw a bunch of police boats, and there was another yacht completely flipped vertically in the water,” one witness said.

According to the Coast Guard’s southeastern division, crews from the Coast Guard, along with vessels from local agencies, responded to a call around 5 p.m. local time on Saturday, May 3, reporting that a 63-foot yacht was sinking near Monument Island.

Local FOX affiliate station WSVN reported that the Miami Beach Police Marine Patrol and other agency units also responded to the incident.

With the help of police and a nearby vessel, 32 people were safely evacuated to shore without injuries.

Several passengers aboard the yacht shared video footage on social media showing the vessel beginning to take on water. In the clips, some passengers could be seen scrambling to save expensive items, like laptops, with one person joking, “Women and children first!”

“We were just on the boat and saw a bunch of cops, police boats, and another yacht completely flipped vertically in the water,” witness Rachael Miller told CBS News Miami.

“It was vertical,” Miller added. “Straight up in the water. It definitely didn’t look normal, and it was very concerning.”

Another witness, Bruce Maresh, told WSVN that he was shocked by what he saw as the yacht tipped over.

“Something in the distance looked at an angle, and as we got closer, you could tell it was a big boat,” Maresh said.

WSVN reported that the 32 rescued passengers were taken to the Miami Beach Marina.

According to dispatch calls obtained by CBS News Miami, the yacht was identified as a “Lamborghini vessel,” though it remains unclear who owns the boat or what caused it to begin taking on water.

The Coast Guard confirmed that commercial salvage crews are working to recover the vessel and reassured that it will not pose a hazard to other boats near Miami Beach.

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission is currently investigating the incident, WSVN reported.
