George Clooney shares unexpected insight into his 10-year marriage to wife Amal.

Arguments are a normal part of any marriage, and George Clooney recently made a surprising revelation about this aspect of his 10-year marriage to wife Amal.

The 63-year-old actor married international human rights lawyer Amal, 47, in September 2014, and the couple welcomed twins, Alexander and Ella, in June 2017.

While promoting his Broadway debut with Good Night, and Good Luck in an interview with The New York Times earlier this year, Clooney discussed his family life and meeting Amal in 2013.

“I wasn’t really looking to be a dad, but then I met Amal, and we fell in love,” he said. “I have to admit, after that, everything just clicked.”

Clooney appeared to doubt his chances when he first met his now-wife, thinking the age gap between them would likely mean Amal wouldn’t be interested.

Reflecting on their first meeting, he recalled, “I was like, ‘Oh my God!’ Then I didn’t really think I had much of a chance with her because I was 17 years older, and she seemed to have everything she needed.”

In a recent appearance on CBS Mornings, Clooney talked about his marriage and how he and Amal have never had a falling out.

“I remember being here with you before, and we said we’d never had an argument,” the Gravity star recalled, referring to a past interview.

“We still haven’t. We’re actually trying to find something to argue about.”

Host Gayle King remarked, “I remember when you said you’d never get married and never have kids. Now you’re married and have two children.”

“Look what happened to me,” Clooney joked, then added, “I feel so extraordinarily lucky to have met this incredible woman. I truly feel like I hit the jackpot.”

“There isn’t a day that goes by where I don’t think I’m the luckiest man in the world. So it’s great.”

Later in the conversation on CBS Mornings, Clooney addressed Donald Trump’s remark calling him a “fake movie actor.”

The Hollywood star told King, “I don’t care. I’ve known Donald Trump for a long time. My job isn’t to please the president of the United States. My job is to tell the truth whenever I can and when I have the chance. I know that some people won’t like that.

“People will criticize me for it. Elon Musk has weighed in [about me]. That’s their right. And it’s my right to share the other side.”

Trump previously posted on Truth Social: “So now fake movie actor George Clooney, who never came close to making a great movie, is getting into the act.

“He’s turned on Crooked Joe like the rats they both are.”
