Trump Criticizes Biden’s DOJ: Accuses Them of Trying to Turn U.S. Into a ‘Corrupt Communist’ Third-World Country

Former President Donald Trump accused President Joe Biden’s Department of Justice of becoming the “department of injustice,” claiming they aimed to turn the U.S. into a “corrupt communist” nation.

“Our predecessors turned this Department of Justice into the Department of Injustice,” Trump declared Friday at the DOJ. “But I stand before you today to say those days are over, and they are never coming back.”

Trump has frequently criticized the Justice Department and the FBI, accusing them of corruption, particularly in response to multiple investigations and lawsuits against him. The FBI previously investigated Trump and his 2016 campaign for alleged collusion with Russia but ultimately found no evidence that his campaign coordinated with Russia to influence the election.

Trump has recently faced legal scrutiny after former Attorney General Merrick Garland appointed special counsel Jack Smith to investigate Trump’s alleged attempts to overturn the 2020 election results and his efforts to retain classified materials at Mar-a-Lago after leaving office.

“They tried to turn America into a corrupt, communist, third-world country, but in the end, the thugs failed, and the truth prevailed,” Trump said. “Freedom prevailed, justice prevailed, democracy prevailed. And above all, the American people prevailed.”

“There is no greater betrayal of American values than using the law to terrorize the innocent and reward the guilty,” Trump said. “That’s exactly what they were doing at an unprecedented level. And it’s exactly what you saw from Joe Biden, Merrick Garland, and their allies over the past four years. The damage they’ve caused is incalculable.”

A spokesperson for Biden did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.

Trump also accused the judicial system of colluding with the media, claiming that newspapers and TV networks acted as “paid political operatives.”

“It has to be illegal,” Trump said Thursday. “It’s influencing judges… and it simply cannot be legal. I don’t believe it’s legal, and they do it in total coordination with one another.”

Trump further accused a “corrupt group of hacks and radicals” within the U.S. government of targeting him and his family over the years, alleging their goal was to prevent him from returning to the White House. He specifically mentioned individuals like Marc Elias, the former chair of the law firm Perkins Coie.

In April 2016, Perkins Coie hired the opposition research firm Fusion GPS to investigate then-presidential candidate Donald Trump on behalf of his opponent, Hillary Clinton, and the Democratic National Committee.

Fusion GPS subsequently hired former British intelligence officer Christopher Steele, who authored the controversial “Steele dossier.” The dossier included shocking and largely unverified claims, such as allegations that Trump engaged in sexual acts with Russian prostitutes.

The FBI also used the dossier to obtain a surveillance warrant against former Trump campaign advisor Carter Page as part of its investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election.

Trump has consistently denied the allegations in the dossier and issued an executive order on March 4, stripping Perkins Coie attorneys of their security clearances and federal access.

In response, the law firm filed a motion in a Washington federal court on Tuesday, seeking a temporary restraining order to prevent the Trump administration from revoking its access to federal resources. U.S. Judge Beryl Howell granted the request on Wednesday afternoon.
