Paul Pogba’s 18-month football ban has officially come to an end, but the French midfielder is in no rush to sign with a new club. According to sources, Pogba is taking his time to weigh his options and is unlikely to make a decision until the end of the season.
Pogba’s options are limited, as he can only sign with clubs in Major League Soccer (MLS) or Japan’s J1 League due to the timing of the transfer windows. However, the 31-year-old is focused on returning to one of Europe’s top leagues, ideally with a club competing in the Champions League or Europa League.
Pogba’s primary goal is to earn a spot in France’s 2026 World Cup squad, and he believes that playing for a top European club will offer the best chance to achieve that. The midfielder has already drawn interest from clubs such as Marseille, Fiorentina, and unnamed LaLiga sides, though he has rejected offers from the Saudi Pro League and Brazil’s Serie A.
During his ban, Pogba has been training independently with a personal trainer and taking part in pickup matches in Miami, where he has been living with his family. Now that he’s free to train and play competitive matches, he plans to take his time in deciding his next move.
