Greenland fires back at Trump’s land-buying interest with a brutal 10-word reply.

Greenland rebuffs Donald Trump’s claim he’ll take their land ‘one way or another’ despite his praise for its people.
On Tuesday (March 4), President Trump addressed Congress, stating that Vladimir Putin had given the U.S. “strong signals” for peace and sharing details of a letter from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy amid the ongoing war in Europe.
In a speech that took an unexpected turn, the 47th POTUS also delivered a message to the people of Greenland.

“If you choose, we welcome you into the United States of America,” Trump said.

“We need Greenland for national security and even international security.

“And we’re working with everybody involved to try and get it. But we need it really for international world security.”

Despite seemingly offering ‘the incredible people of Greenland’ the choice to ‘determine [their] own future,’ Trump then resolved: “And I think we’re going to get it – one way or the other, we’re going to get it.”

President Trump ended his speech with a bold declaration:

*”We will keep you safe. We will make you rich. And together, we will take Greenland to heights like you have never thought possible before. It’s a very small population but a very, very large piece of land—very, very important for military security.”*

Greenland’s Prime Minister, Mute Egede, quickly fired back with a sharp 10-word response:

*”We do not wish to be Americans. Greenland is ours.”*

He added: “We do not want to be Americans, nor Danes, we are Greenlanders.

“The Americans and their leaders must understand that. We are not for sale and cannot just be taken. Our future is decided by us in Greenland.”

“I’m not sure what claim Denmark has to it, but refusing would be a very unfriendly act since it’s about protecting the free world.

“I believe we’ll get Greenland because it’s tied to global freedom.”
“It’s not about the United States—except that we’re the ones who can provide freedom. They can’t.”
